From
Manish Puri
Your strongest challenger to the Conservatives, Four Oaks
Ward
"As a Sutton resident for more than 10 years, I have seen the
concentration of power in one Party’s hands, leading to drift and lack of
direction for our Town. We need to draw in all the talent in our community. I
believe a healthy democracy is one where citizenship is a daily part of
people’s lives – not just the annual ritual of the ballot paper.
I’ve been working with Rob Pocock to support local residents’
campaigns, and help the Neighbourhood Forums express the community’s voice on
the major issues facing Sutton today”.
HELP CAMPAIGN TO CUT GOOD HOPE PARKING FEES!
Labour’s Sutton
Community Action Team is petitioning (below) to get the scandalously high car
parking fees reduced at Good Hope Hospital.
Manish and
Labour’s team believe the charges should be reduced. We also want a
‘discount’ scheme, to help people who visit most frequently. Manish said “It’s
wrong that costs fall hardest on the people suffering most”!

We the
undersigned call on Good Hope Hospital to install a
fairer parking charges scheme Tick here q if you can help deliver
leaflets to support this campaign

Election special from your Sutton

Spring
Watch! – our Mere Green
Shops campaign
Labour’s local team
leaders Manish Puri and Rob Pocock have set up a new ‘watchdog’ scheme
so that residents can stem the worst impacts of the ‘Spring’ company’s Mere
Green shopping centre plans.
Everybody knows the local Four
Oaks Conservatives blundered in approving the scheme too hastily. Since then they have just sat back and dithered.
Now Rob & Manish’s ‘Spring Watch’ campaign means residents will at least
get a proper voice in trying to cut down the worst local impacts.
Manish told ‘Community
Action, ’If Spring are sincere about working in
partnership there is no reason why this project cannot be to the mutual
benefit of all concerned, but this requires paying more than lip service to
the notion of consultation."

YES I’d like to help Manish &
Rob’s ‘Spring Watch’ campaign
