Rail action for Labour’s growing Sutton
Coldfield campaign team have made more progress in the bid to have the
cross-Sutton rail link re-opened.
While the local Conservative
Councillors waffle and dither, Rob Pocock and Labour’s team went straight to
West Midlands Minister Liam Byrne MP. The press notice (opposite) highlights
our success.
After years of breathtaking Conservative
complacency, and 4 years in charge of the City Council, the Tories just go on
talking.
Now Labour’s team in Sutton are
bidding to get ALL residents involved in plans!

Conservative cuts to Council clean-up services have left our
shopping centres grubby and litter bins bulging (like this one spotted in
Boldmere last month).
Labour’s ‘Clean
Neighbourhoods Act’ gives
Councils much tougher powers. So why aren’t the Conservatives using them in
Sutton?

Labour’s new Neighbourhood Policing plan means local
officers are now going to be more on-hand in your area.
They’ll come to local meetings
and they will be working much more closely with residents to crack down on
the minority of troublemakers
They’ll also work with young people to get better facilities and
much needed activities.
It’s positive action for our area!
